Economic Development

Our firm assists local economic development entities in their efforts to recruit, retain and expand domestic and international companies that have or will have a presence in Southern Virginia. Our attorneys often work in tandem with economic development teams and affiliated government employee lawyers with developing incentives packages and plans, interfacing with potential state and private grant sources, managing governmental and private loans, and implementing strategies to secure the performance of those companies. When not assisting local economic development entities, we often represent the companies targeted for recruitment, retention and expansion in Virginia.

Our firm’s experience in business law, contracts, real property, commercial development, local government, banking and finance, tax-exempt organizations, and grants enables us to assist these clients efficiently.
